Tamkeen has announced the graduation of 25 Bahraini candidates who have completed the hospitality training course held at the Westin Hotel. The programme, which aims to provide candidates with skills to succeed in the tourism and hospitality industry with practical on-site training, was launched in cooperation with three of Bahrain's top hotels, Sofitel Bahrain, The Westin and Le Meridien. Launched in May of 2015, training and certification for the programme was provided by Third Wave International and the William Angliss Institute. Seventy five Bahrainis had registered for this year's programme.
Tamkeen has shifted to an electronic payment system to expedite payments to customers and vendors, who will now receive funds directly into their bank accounts instead of having to personally visit the main office or service centres.
The shift to the new system, effective as of this week, comes as part of Tamkeen's drive to provide better services to businesses and Bahrainis in the private sector.
To receive their due payments, customers and vendors must complete their registration process within the various support programmes provided by Tamkeen.
