Symposium on Cardiology Today
ABU DHABI - A symposium for cardiologists, cardiac surgeons and physicians will be organised by the Department of Cardiac Sciences at Shaikh Khalifa City (SKMC) on December 27.
Dr Wael Al Mahmeed, Head of Adult Cardiology Department, stated that the event will cover topics on electrocardiogram (ECG), heart rate abnormalities, heart attacks, heart enlargement and ECG findings of non cardiac diseases.
“Electrocardiography plays an important role in the diagnosis of cardiac disease and has significant implications in the management of emergency cardiac conditions. The aim of the workshop is to improve the confidence and competence of those recording and reading the ECG by learning a systematic method of interpretation,” said Dr Abdulmajeed Al Zubaidi, cardiologist at SKMC.
