Yas Marina Circuit has given a new lease of life to surplus motoring parts from Yas Racing School by upcycling items such as disused crankshafts, tyres, oil drums and signage to create bespoke furniture which is now being enjoyed by thousands of race goers at the Main Oasis area at the 2016 Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
Yas Marina Circuit's creative Events team came up with the idea of making more than 50 pieces of unique furniture from Yas Racing School's excess auto parts and the quirky, yet fun pieces have been very well received by the public in the F1 Village and Oasis Area, located next to Main Grandstand.
