Abdullah Al Shaheen, Medical Director in Ras Al Khaimah, said they have launched a well-equipped surgical section for treating snoring in children.

He said the move was intended to improve the services offered to the patients at the hospital as parents have for long complained of the increasing cases of snoring among their children.

The hospital did not have the necessary facilities to offer surgical correction of snoring.

He noted that the hospital has experienced surgeons in various fields of surgery. They had performed 8,913 successful surgical procedures in 2007 alone.
