According to Shaikh Saqar bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Chairman of Sharjah Islamic Affairs and Auqaf, said that the department had already launched a campaign under the motto ‘Your house is in Paradise’ to collect public donations for constructions of these mosques.

He asked the people to generously donate towards the fund.

The Islamic Affairs Department is currently working on improvement of 18 mosques in various parts of the emirate. Meanwhile, the setting up of a training institute for Imams and preachers is also under study as suggested by the Sharjah Consultative Council. The institute will go a long way in improving the performance and skills of preachers through training programmes and workshops, which will be conducted by preaching experts.
