SHARJAH — His Highness Dr Shaikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, has donated one million euros to the International Theatre Council (ITC), it was announced by Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Owais, Director- General of Sharjah Department of Culture and Information.

Al Owais said the donation was in line with Shaikh Sultan’s continuous support to cultural and humanitarian institutions at the local, Arab and international levels, adding that it was aimed at giving a major boost to international theatre activities.

He said the department had received a letter of thanks and gratitude to the Sharjah Ruler from the ITC officials.
