Stuntman injured during Bollywood film shooting
DUBAI — A stuntman was reportedly injured in a vehicular accident during the shooting of a Bollywood film at the Jumeirah Islands in Dubai yesterday. Khaleej Times received a call from a resident of the islands, who reported the accident. The caller declined to identify herself, and said that the residents were upset with the shooting of the film in the islands’ compound.
According to labourer’s working close to the location of the shooting “the stunt driver was in a black Mercedes that turned turtle during the shooting of a chase sequence.” Onlookers who had gathered to see the shooting told Khaleej Times that though the accident was not minor, the stuntman was “not that seriously hurt.”
Rajendra, who claimed to have spent hours at the location watching the shooting, said that he saw the vehicle involved in the accident fall on its side during his noon break. “It looked like a nasty mishap, but I don’t know what happened to the stuntman. There was an ambulance there, though,” he said.
