Students educated on EIDA programme

ABU DHABI — The Emirates Identity Authority (EIDA) recently organised a seminar to familiarise students attending the summer training module in Al Ain, with the demographic registration and identity card programmes.

Sultan Al Dhahiri, Director of Al Ain ID Registration Centre, an affiliate of EIDA, said that the seminar was also designed to spread public awareness and interact with all segments of the society, particularly students, who are the cornerstone of the UAE society of tomorrow..

Elaborating on what is regarded as the largest ever kind of its project in the Middle East, Al Dhahiri said it included setting up a hi-tech demographic record and fully integrated database for issue of new identity cards to all UAE citizens and expatriates working in the country who are over 15 years in accordance with a three-year schedule.
