The CID officials found a car with the same specifications in a workshop in Abu Dhabi. The police identified and questioned the car owner, who admitted that he gave the car to his younger brother. The brother allowed another sibling, a student, to take the car, the police was told.
The student confessed to the police that he hit the boy and did not stop the vehicle because he was confused and scared. The student has been referred to the Dubai Public Prosecution for further investigation.
