SR19m for Arabic language centre

DUBAI — The Executive Board of the Arab Education Office for the Gulf States has allocated a budget of SR 19 million for setting up a centre for teaching Arabic language in Sharjah.

The board has also allotted SR6 million for running the centre for the first two years.

All the member states will soon be asked to pay their portions of the initial budget. They will also be notified to select members for the board of trustees and work out the preliminary steps.

The decision to set up the centre was taken during the 63rd session of the meeting of the Arab Education Office in Dubai yesterday.
