The unit began its operations with a fresh school-friendly approach, simplified procedures and a single-window method to ensure alacrity and accuracy while delivering its services.

Dr Abdulla Al Karam, Chairman of the Board of Directors and Director General of KHDA said, “ As promised, the commencement of the ASU at the beginning of August is now a reality. While developing the ASU, we focused on the quality of the services to achieve customer satisfaction. Our new promise is to be quick and accurate while providing the needed services.”

Fatima Al Marri, CEO of the School Agency, said, “ When we started the School Agency, we focused on delivering more than our commitment. Today, as we launch the all new ASU we have elevated the services to match the best practices in government offices in Dubai.”

The ASU has categorised its services into private education, public education, institutes and licensing, and employee services. Each area has its own application form which specifies the needed documents, information, and the time required to complete the task. The application form is available in both Arabic and English.

The ASU has also provided waiting rooms with ushers which facilitate the services.

All applications will follow the single-window method wherein students, parents, school owners and School Agency employees will submit and collect their documents at a single point without having to go back and forth between departments. The stipulated time for every service is mentioned on every form.
