The Sharjah Municipality has installed specially designed benches and seats for elderly persons in all residential parks and opened mobile restaurants in the Sharjah National Park to support youth.
The initiative is under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah.

Al Taraifi said the municipality has recently installed 25 benches and seats in all residential parks for the elderly. The seats were made specially to provide comfortable seating for aged people. "The municipality has also amended the entrances and exits of the parks to facilitate easy access to ensure their involvement in various activities. "They made great efforts to prepare the future generations. We have plans to increase the number of seats in all the parks of the emirate according to the strategic plan for 2020," she added.
Mobile restaurants project
Al Taraifi said the mobile restaurants offer hygienic food to residents of the region and visitors of the park.
The project is aimed at supporting the youth and encouraging them to invest in profitable projects. The municipality has issued licences and permits to the youth to carry out the mobile restaurant business. "The oasis of restaurants in the Sharjah National Park is an addition to its youth support project in Al Siouh area and in Al Mamzar,"
