Special car number plates go on auction
DUBAI — The 16th auction of customised car numbers will take place in the Al Barsha Police Department today.
The auction will include 66 of three, four and five-digit numbers of "D" and "E" codes, with a base auction price of Dh1,690,000, said Brigadier Mohammed Saif Al Zafin, Director of the Dubai Traffic Department.
The first group of numbers to be auctioned will include nine three-digit (E code) plate numbers with a nominal price of Dh80,000 each. The numbers in this group are: 484, 494, 535, 595, 646, 797, 848, 858 and 868.
The second group includes eight (D code) three-digit numbers and are of Dh60,000 nominal price each. The numbers are: 331, 443, 554, 557, 662, 667, 779, 882 besides an E code number, 144.
The third group includes 16 (D code) four-digit car numbers and are of Dh20,000 nominal value each. The numbers of this group are: 1313, 1414, 2525, 3434, 3535, 4242, 5353, 6262, 1133, 1144, 2255, 3344. 3355, 4422, 5533 and 6622.
The fourth group includes eight (E code) five-digit numbers and are of Dh8,000 nominal value each. The numbers of this group are: 11100, 33300, 44400, 55500, 66600, 77700, 888000 and 99900.
