South Africa Keen on
Boosting UAE Ties

PRETORIA - South African President Jacob Zuma received UAE Foreign Minister Shaikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan in Pretoria on Friday.

At the meeting held at the Presidential Palace, Shaikh Abdullah, who was accompanied by an official delegation, conveyed to the South African Head of State, greetings from President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and good wishes for the people of South Africa.

President Zuma also asked Shaikh Abdullah to convey his greetings to the President of the UAE, and emphasised his country’s keenness to strengthen bilateral relations with the UAE. Zuma added that the government of South Africa lends particular attention to the relations with UAE in view of the distinguished position the country has attained.

During the meeting, they reviewed bilateral relations between the two countries and means of enhancing them, in addition to a number of issues of common concern.
