Toomaj Salehi risks being hanged after the conviction on the Shariah charge of "corruption on Earth" by a Revolutionary Court
The job of the construction sector becomes much easier if there is a society of engineers who can help in this direction.
With this motive in mind, the Society of Indian Engineers in the UAE (SIEUAE) was inaugurated on Saturday by M. Ramachandran, Dean of BITS, Pilani in Dubai.
Affiliated to the Indian Business and Professional Council (IPBC, Sharjah), the society consists of Indian engineers engaged in building services and residing in the UAE.
S. Krishnan, a senior member of the society said, "The society would be contributing to the growth and knowledge of the community.
"Around 300 engineers have already enrolled. All of them are experts and know about the latest trends and practices.
"At present, with the Green Building concept being the front-runner when it comes to environmental protection and pollution control in the UAE too, the society can contribute a lot in terms of expertise.
"The society would also hold seminars and workshops in a bid to make people aware about the latest trends."
