About 55 distinguished licensing plates comprising, one, two, three, four and five digits will be up for grabs in the Sharjah Police's upcoming open auction, which will be held on Saturday, April 13.
Sharjah Police announced the auction will take place at Al Jawaher Reception & Convention Centre in cooperation with Emirates Auction.
Major-General Saif Al Zari Al Shamsi, Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police, said the auction is being held as scheduled and planned by the Executive Council's joint committee, which approved a specific time frame for the sale of distinctive number plates in Sharjah throughout 2019 either by public or online auction.
The newly introduced number plates, all from category 3 include 1 single-digit plate, 4 two-digit plates, 15 three-digit plates, 20 four-digit plates and 16 five-digit plates. The auction will kick off at 5pm.

Abdullah Matar Al Mannai, Chairman and Managing Director of Emirates Auction, said that Sharjah Police is once again giving an opportunity to lovers of distinctive numbers to acquire special numbers for their cars where they can visit and participate in the open auction.
The distinguished number plates can be viewed directly through the company's website www.EmiratesAuction.com or by downloading its app on Google Play or the Apple Store. Number plates can also be viewed by visiting the Emirates Auction customer service centre located in the Traffic Management Building at Al Ramtha Area in Sharjah.
Bidders must deposit a security check at the time of registration, and must be present prior to the start of the auction. Admission is free for everyone.
