DUBAI — The British luxury airline, Silverjet, touched down yesterday morning at the Executive Terminal of Dubai International Airport, becoming the first commercial carrier to have been granted access to the airport’s private aviation facilities.
The flight arrived to a VIP reception, with Mohammed Ahmad bin Ghannam, General Manager of Airline Development for Dubai Airport’s Aviation Unit, heading the welcoming delegation.
“This service marks the beginning of a new era in international business aviation and bodes well for the burgeoning executive flight sector of the Middle East, in general, and Dubai, in particular,” said Ghannam.
The award-winning airline is the only scheduled airline in the world to offer a private terminal experience at both ends of its service and is the only commercial carrier to use the private Executive Terminal at Dubai International Airport.
