SIA wins prestigious award

DUBAI - Singapore Airlines (SIA) has won Air Transport World's prestigious Passenger Award for 2004. It will receive the award at Air Transport World's gala awards dinner, which will be held in Singapore on February 23.

In announcing the award, the editors of the leading aviation magazine, said: "In an age in which airlines are delivering less and less service, Singapore Airlines never stops reaching for the skies, always on the look-out for new ways to satisfy its customers."

Air Transport World began its annual awards programme in 1974 to recognise excellence in the airline and commercial aerospace industries. It is published monthly by Ohio-based Penton Media, a global business-to-business media company. Air Transport World said: "In its 32 years of existence as an independent company, SIA progressively has raised the bar in all areas of customer service."
