SHP to cover all schools in two years
DUBAI — The Ministry of Health (MoH) has rescinded its decision to expand the School for Health Programme (SHP) to cover all schools from the beginning of the next academic year. Instead, it would follow up and assess the implementation of the programme in the 19 government and private schools currently covered by the programme for another two years.
According to Dr Maryam Matroushi, Director of the Central Administration for School Health at the Ministry of Health, it is too early to give final assessment of the programme, which took-off in the 19 schools about six months ago.
