The system of licencing here has many shortcomings. Anyone can apply for a contracting license and acquire it pretty fast without going through any checks. The process need to be tightened up considerably because the contracting sector is too crucial to be left to the whims and fancies of greedy individuals.

Irregular payment, visa trade and non-compliance with the contract are some of the most talked about problems in the contracting sector. These irregularities happen because irresponsible and greedy people have invaded the contracting market, seeking nothing more than quick money.

Therefore, we call upon the authorities to delegate more powers to the Contractors' Association. The association should be empowered to approve or reject applications for contracting licences. It should also have the authority to investigate violations of rules and regulations, and to impose penalties on the offenders.
