The bad news is that upgradation of this road into a multi-lane facility will take 2 years, which means that motorists will have to put up with traffic jams till then.

So we need to think of some short term solutions such as reducing the number of cars on the streets during rush hours by encouraging individuals to use public transportation and government employees to avail of mass transport.

An additional measure will be to increase the number of residential units in the emirate for accommodating the middle income tenants.

Actually, having long term plans to solve the traffic problems is something desirable but we also need short term plans for quick results. Statistics reveal that the number of cars on the roads are going up daily which is quite disturbing.
