Dubai Ruler visited the mourning tent in Al Ain on Friday
The shawarma shop, which had been set up as part of the Sharjah Ramadan Festival, was damaged by the fire which broke out at about 7pm.
There were no casualties reported in the incident.
An electric short-circuit was said to have ignited the fire.
“There are no casualties. However, the outlet was gutted in the incident. We’ll take necessary measures to ensure that such incidents do not happen during the festival,” said Mohammed Al Amin, Head of the Sharjah Ramadan Festival.
