Sharjah Shopping Promotions: Up to 75% discount from today

Sharjah - The shopping event that will be on till August 21 is being hosted with strict Covid-19 measures in place.

Malls and retail shops will offer up to 75 per cent discounts when the annual Sharjah Shopping Promotions kicks off on July 22.

The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) said it has completed all preparations for the event. "A host of shopping malls and retail stores has confirmed their participation (and will offer) ... Exclusive offers and discounts. Among these are Sahara Centre, Al Waha Mall, City Centre Sharjah, Zawaya Walk, and Zero 6 Mall, in addition to a large number of retail stores in the emirate," the SCCI said in a Press statement.
Mohammad Ahmed Amin Al Awadi, SCCI Director-General, said the SCCI has launched several initiatives to help the business sector deal with the impact of Covid-19. "This exceptional shopping season is an important opportunity for the retail sector, especially with the gradual return of economic life, as it would help boost sales and revive markets."
The retail stores in the Central and Eastern regions are exempted from participation fees "to help them attract a large segment of shoppers and visitors and provide distinctive offers", Al Awadi said. Stores in the other regions will get a 50 per cent discount on participation fees.

Safe shopping
Ibrahim Rashid Al Jarwan, director, SCCI Economic Relations and Marketing, said the SCCI has carried out field inspections to ensure full commitment of the participating stores and malls to the precautionary and preventive measures against the spread of Covid-19.
