Yossef Al Suwaiji from the Sharjah Directorate of Public Works was appointed deputy director of the committee and Sultan Al Muala and Hind Al Hashimi from Sharjah Directorate of Public Works and Anwar Libi from the municipality were named members.
The committee will supervise maintenance of roads and determine the budgets allocated for this purpose in coordination with the Sharjah Executive Council.
It will hold meetings once a month on the request of the director or three members of the committee.
According to the administrative order No. 46 of 2003 signed by Ahmad Fikri, Director-General of Sharjah Municipality, the director, who will be receiving a report every three month on the committee's suggestions regarding the road network, will forward the recommendations of the committee to the Sharjah Executive Council for improving the roads' efficiency in the emirate.
