Sharjah Municipality urged to intensify inspection drive

SHARJAH — Sharjah Municipality has been asked to intensify its health and environment inspection campaign to ensure healthy environment for the public in the emirate.

The move has come as part of the Sharjah Municipal Council’s concerns for maintaining health and protecting environment in the emirate.

During a meeting attended by Dr Salah Al Ahaj, Director-General of Sharjah Municipality, to discuss hygiene and cleanliness in various part of Sharjah, Salim Al Owais, Chairman of Sharjah Municipal Council, ordered the municipality to immediately intensify its inspection of clinics, bakeries, restaurants, butcheries, fish market, Ladies and gent hair cut saloons.

He also ordered the waste and cleanliness section of the municipality to maintain cleanliness on internal and main roads in all parts of Sharjah as well as schools, parks and commercial, industrial and residential areas.
