Sharjah Ladies Club to celebrate silver jubilee with special offers

Club Manager Erum Mazher Alvie said the event will celebrate 25 years of continuous service to women and children, and support of family issues.

Alvie said, “Sharjah Ladies Club was a pioneer in the field of women’s issues back in 1982. Since its establishment, we have been focused on meeting the needs of women and children, and family needs and concerns regarding provision of education, training and health awareness issues.”

“SLC has always provided a place of entertainment that is in keeping with the values and religious mores of the UAE. We have also concentrated on sport as a concept and Her Highness Shaikha Jawaher bint Mohamed Al Qasimi has personally supported and encouraged young women to train for, participate in, and excel in a number of high profile sporting events around the Gulf and beyond, winning many trophies for Sharjah,” she added.

Alvie said that 25 years ago Shaikha Jawaher felt that women deserved a special, safe place to meet, to socialise and to grow and develop new skills and hobbies, all within a safe and nurturing environment.
