Sharjah Economic Development Department launches new website

Sharjah - The release of the website with its new design and corporate identity falls within the department's concerns to attain excellence is services, leadership in performance and continuous development.

Sharjah Economic Development Department (SEDD) released its website with a new, attractive, sophisticated and modern design that carries its corporate identity that goes in line with the latest digital revolution in the field of programing, designing, and managing of websites worldwide.

Sultan Abdullah bin Hadda Al Suwaidi, Chairman of SEDD, stated that the release of the website with its new design and corporate identity falls within the department's concerns to attain excellence is services, leadership in performance and continuous development that go in line with the wise guidance and the vigorous pursuit of His Highness Dr. Shaikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, to make the portal an effective tool to communicate with the public and serve them well.

The chairman added that such a release of the website coincides with the department's efforts to simplify things on the investors and customers through the provision of comprehensive modern and sophisticated services.

He also added that the biggest achievement of SEDD is to invest heavily on the technological infrastructure and to come up with the biggest number if e-services, where it has released 63 e-services that can be reached through the department's website and 42 applications on smartphones by the end of 2014.

Moreover, SEDD achieved what is known as e-linking with 24 government entities to ease procedures, improve the quality of its services, and encourage investors to carry out their business in the emirate which will promote Sharjah's status and place as a destination to attract investment as well as prosperity of business, and to  achieve sustainable economic development.

Furthermore, SEDD seeks through its new look website to increase the number of visitors to the website so that they would benefit from the information that it represents in both languages Arabic and English, at which it represents clearly its corporate identity that is known for its green color which symbolizes the sustainable development in the emirate.
