Shaikha Futtaim donates Dh500,000 to Pink Caravan

The Pink Caravan initiative by the Friends of Cancer Patients came in for praise from its ambassador and daughter of His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, Shaikha Futtaim bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, who donated Dh500,000 for the fight against breast cancer.

“I am proud of the Pink Caravan and its achievements and privileged to be an ambassador of this great initiative. It is an honour to be able to represent all the women of the UAE. I am delighted to be part of this mission and join this remarkable effort. I wish the team the best of luck,” said Shaikha Futtaim.

She called on the community to spread awareness about the condition and said they must work closely with the government in this health campaign.

We are pleased to have Shaikha Futtaim join our list of elite ambassadors.

“We are proud that she has elected to join our team and extend, on behalf of the entire team, heartfelt thanks to her for her generous contribution, which will further motivate us to continue to fulfil all our goals.”

The Pink Caravan’s third annual pan-UAE horseback journey concluded on Tuesday after 10 days on the road. Medical teams conducted 5,000 early detection breast cancer screenings for men and women from all over the emirates.
