The Argentine legend follows in the footsteps of stars like Simone Biles and LeBron James who were previous winner of the accolade
The Award was originally floated earlier in November last year during the 31st Arab Children Congress held in Abu Dhabi as per a generous gesture and patronage of HH Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women’s Union and of the Family Development Foundation. The Arab Children Congress was transformed last year to become the Arab Youth Congress.
The announcement of the inaugural edition was made at a press conference held at the FDF headquarters today in the presence of Ali Salem Al Kaabi, Director at the office of the Minister of Presidential Affairs and Chairman of the FDF Board of Trustees, Maryam Mohammed Al Rumaithi, Director General of FDF and other officials.
The award aims to deepen the sense of pride, belonging and loyalty to the homeland and the Arab world and to honor and appreciate the competencies and creativity of Arab youth at the international level. It also aims to emphasize the importance of building and developing the capability of Arab youth and their individual access to the World.
The Award also aims to recognise the achievements of Arab youth on social and academic levels and encourages entrepreneurship.
The Award will also honour institutions which are concerned and supportive of the issues and programs of the Arab youth.
