DUBAI - His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, on Thursdayvitsted Sikka Art Fair which is being held at Al Bastakiya area and showcasing works by 24 Emirati and resident artists.
Shaikh Mohammed stopped at works of artists in painting, traditional handicrafts, photography and other forms of creative arts.
At Ibn Al Haytham House for Visual Arts, Shaikh Mohammed marvelled at a work about schizophrenia and masks, as well as paintings by children with special needs.
At the literature corner, Sheikh Mohammed browsed the latest titles by writers and intellectuals taking part in the Emirates Airline Festival of Literature.
Shaikh Mohammed praised the theme of Sikka Art Fair and the fact that it promotes multi-cultuarism in arts and encourages amity and peaceful co-existence.
He also stressed the need to adopt and encourage young talents.
