Shaikh Majid graduates from Sandhurst military academy

LONDON — His Highness Shaikh Saud bin Rashid Al Mualla, UAE Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Umm Al Quwain attended the Sovereign’s Parade at UK’s Royal Military Academy in Sandhurst (RMAS) marking the graduation of his son Shaikh Majid bin Saud bin Rashid Al Mualla along with officer cadets from other Arab countries.

Also present at the ceremony were Shaikh Humaid bin Ahmed Al Mualla, Shaikh Saif bin Rashid Al Mualla, Shaikh Ahmed bin Saud Al Mualla and Shaikh Abdullah bin Saud Al Mualla.

British Prime Minister David Cameron inspected the officer cadets during their passing out ceremony at RMAS in Surrey. Shaikh Saud congratulated his son on the occasion and expressed his best wishes for him.

Shaikh Majid received greetings from the UAE Ambassador to the UK Abdul Rehman Al Mutaiwei, Shaikh Mohammed bin Maktoum Al Maktoum, First Secretary at the UAE Embassy in London and Commodore Saleh Al Aidarous, Military Attache at the UAE Embassy.

The Commissioning Course for Regular Army Officers is 48 weeks long, including recess periods. Training at Sandhurst covers military, practical and academic subjects and is meant to prepare cadet officers as future commanders in the regular armies of their countries.
