Shabana and Javed in Kaifi aur Main
DUBAI — Noted Indian actor Shabana Azmi and her husband, Javed Akhtar, a leading poet and lyricist, will take part in a two-day theatrical and musical presentation.
It will be based on the writings of legendary poet Kaifi Azmi and Shaukat Kaifi, along with ghazal maestro Jaswinder Singh. The event will take place at the Crowne Plaza Hotel on September 14 and 15.
Kaifi aur Main, as the presentation is called, deals with some memorable moments in the life of Kaifi Azmi and his wife, Shaukat, penned in Yaad Ki Rehguzar by Shaukat Azmi. It is indeed a “theatrical experience”, as Shabana Azmi puts it.
