Services at Al Baraha Hospital to be revamped

DUBAI — The UAE Ministry of Health recently announced that the Consulting Team at Dubai Healthcare City (DHCC) has been asked to revamp services at Al Baraha Hospital in partnership with Harvard Medical International (HMI).

The Consulting Team will work according to the Health Ministry’s guidelines initiating meticulous market research before overhauling the master and site plans for the Al Baraha Hospital in Dubai.

Humaid Mohammed Obaid Al Qutami, Minister for Health, said, “Our new strategy (2008-2012) is focused on improving the quality of medical services. One of our main objectives is to upgrade the services at our hospitals and bring them on par with global standards. This is why we have appointed DHCC-Harvard Medical International Consulting Team to revamp services at Al Baraha Hospital. ”

“The Consultancy Team will review ambulatory care and related facilities to ensure a more dynamic service, keeping in mind the healthcare needs, the expected footfall and competitors in the area.”

Dr Muhadditha Al Hashimi, CEO of DHCC, said, “The DHCC/HMI Consulting Team will focus on providing strategic, clinical, educational and operational solutions to Al Baraha Hospital to ensure a higher quality service.”

The team will also develop a model for public-private partnership for the Al Baraha Hospital which could potentially be applied to the other MoH hospitals.
