ABU DHABI — The Abu Dhabi Cultural Foundation will be the venue of a hectic musical programme this month, according to Hoda Kanoo, member of the board of directors of the Abu Dhabi Authority for Culture and Heritage and founder of the Abu Dhabi Culture and Arts Group.
The programme is being organised by the Arts Group in conjunction with the Authority and a number of diplomatic missions in the country.
According to the programme a musical concert by the Palestinian ‘Violinist Society’ will be held on Wednesday. The society has been founded and led by international composer Ramzi Abu Radwan. It has been working since 2002 with main objective of spreading music as a cultural component among Palestinian youths, especially children, to inculcate Palestinian identity in their minds.
Music fans will enjoy performance of the duo Danilla Le Garou the soprano and Pianist Oliver Fritz on Monday while the Abu Dhabi Culture and Arts Group in collaboration with the Hungarian Embassy, will organise a musical concert ‘Kolemen Trio’.
A gala night performance will be given by Dora Kokas playing the Violoncello, Kathleen Kokas violinist and the violinist Kathleen Barnabas.
Curtains will be down with a gala night musical concert by Hisako Tokue. It will be held in cooperation with the Japanese Embassy and Olga Kozentisova.
Tokue began to play violin at the age of three. As student of the famous Suzuki method, she went to study at the Toho Music Conservatory and made her debut at the age of 12 with the Tokyo Symphony Conservatory, playing Lalo’s Symphonies.
Olga Kozentisova was born in the former Soviet Union. She began playing piano when she was six. She graduated from the Music School and Music institute in the state of Nizhadnove in Odessa.
She is working at the Odessa Academic Theatre for Opera and Ballet and plays regularly with the Felharmomic Orchestra and the Rock Music.
