'' Families can enjoy the beach without having their privacy being trespassed,” Engineer Salim Al Mamari, Executive Manager of Services at Abu Dhabi Municipality, said. “ Bachelors, on the other hand, will have their own zone and will not be allowed into the family zone,'' he said.

The landscape character of the 11- hectare beach will be distinctive and informal in style, reflecting its significant role to serve visitors, and a confident, but measured, design approach will deliver a blend of hard and soft elements to create a high level of amenity and recreational value for the visitors.

It links the existing Corniche promenade more directly to the sea and creates a sequence of linked outdoor spaces and facilities for the public to use and enjoy. All elements used in the design respond to aspects of the unique cultural and local climate in ways that enhance use of the facility.

The development features a 78,653 square metre sand beach, 170 shades, four playgrounds for beach volleyball, 7 beach guard towers, quick resuce units and security station.
