Senior member of Pak expatriate community passes away

ABU DHABI - A senior member of Pakistan community Zamir Barney died of cardiac failure in Karachi. He was 65.

Mr Barney is survived by two sons and his widow.

Mr Barney was an advisor to telecom corporation Etisalat for the last several years. He was an active member of the community in the capital.

A group of his colleagues participated in his funeral that took place in Karachi on Wednesday.

The community members Khalid Nizami, Ashraf Siddiqui along with the former presidents of the Pakistan Centre Abu Dhabi, Raja Shabbir and Syed Izhar Haider have condoled the sad demise.

They paid tributes to Mr Barney for his services to the community and have prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul.
