At its third Professional Day, new and existing teachers from the six Beacon schools in the UAE, came together at the World Trade Centre, where renowned educational consultant, Dr Bill Rogers, spoke on behaviour management, discipline, effective teaching, stress management and teacher welfare. Dr Rogers, also an Adjunct Professor at the Griffith University, Australia, called for effective teaching practices at the day-long seminar. Calling the seminar ‘valuable’, teacher Zelda from the Uptown School told Khaleej Times, “ I have been teaching for the last five years in Dubai. This is a very good refresher course when one has been teaching for long. It makes you conscious of what you need to do. It gives us a perspective on how to improve, ” she said.
