Second batch of national service recruits graduate

Abu Dhabi — The graduation of the second batch of National Service and Reserved Recruits was held by the General Command of the UAE Armed Forces in Abu Dhabi on Thursday in a ceremony to mark the completion of the three-month basic military training.

The recruits attended the training course in the five training centres countrywide. The graduates of the second batch are those  born between May 30, 1984 and May 30, 1989, except military servicemen who work at the ministry of defence and the armed forces.

The National and Reserve Service Authority praised the efforts made by all entities and institutions for their cooperation in facilitating the recruitment of the second batch. The federal, local government departments and private sector establishments allow their Emirati employees who meet the conditions as per the law to join the national service.

Major-General (Pilot) Shaikh Ahmed bin Tahnoun bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the National and Reserve Service authority expressed his pride and underlined the importance of values like loyalty, discipline and commitment.

Major-General Salem Surour Al Kaabi, assistant chief of staff for the Reserved Recruits distributed prizes to the outstanding graduates. Similar passing out parades were held at the rest of the training centres in the country.
