Scouts show support to Lebanon

SHARJAH — Emirates Scouts Association yesterday organised a solidarity campaign to support the people of Lebanon, especially the children, who are currently suffering the hardships of war.

Top scouting bodies have called for a ceasefire and stoppage of the hostilities.

As part of the campaign, the delegation will pay a solidarity visit on Wednesday to the Lebanese embassy in Abu Dhabi to expresse support to the people of Lebanon. Members are invited to participate in the campaign and gather at the Association premises in Sharjah.

New building for security department

ABU DHABI —The General Department for Security Affairs and Checkpoints of the Ministry of Interior will be relocated in a new Dh78million building. A detailed report on the specifications of the new premises was received by the Abu Dhabi General Police directorate. Work on the state-of-the art eight-story building will take a year and half to complete.

It will be located near the General Directorate of Civil Defence in Abu Dhabi.
