The Oxford School, Dubai, recorded another notable academic success with excellent results in the IGCSE 'O' and GCE 'A' level examinations conducted by the University of Cambridge in June 2006.
The outstanding achiever in school in the A level examination is Mohammed Omar A. Khan who bagged 4 As. While, the achievers in the O level examination include Hassan Khalili with 5 A* and 1 A, Noha Tarik with 4 A* and 3 As, Warkha Lalchand with 4 A* and 2 As.
Al Ain Juniors School has kept the same exceptional performance level this year with the students having proved their talents and worth by producing an enviable cent per cent result for their IGCSE, AS/A level examinations for the session May/June 2006.
Among the star achievers in the IGCSE exams in the girls' stream are: Alaa Fathy who topped her batch by securing straight 6 A*s and 1 A. Sana Asghar Ali clenched straight 5 A*s, Rabia Tahir followed with 3 A*s and 1 A.
Keeping to their caliber, in the boys' section Mohammed Tohidul acquired straight 6 A*s. Ali Tahir bagged 4A*s and 1 A. Touseef Ayoub obtained 3 A*s and 1 A. Syed Salman Shah was able to collar 2 A*s and 3 As. Saad Ahmed, Haris Mohammed, Senali Dinuka, Syed Ahmed Mujtaba and Mathew Mellville remained outclassed by clinching 1 A* each and no less than As and Bs.
The total number of A*s and A grades secured by the scholars of Al Ain Juniors is 34 A*s and 47 As and the total number of candidates appeared for this exam was 39.
Among the AS and A level students: Apoorva Kalasuramath claimed 2 As and 2 Bs. Sanam Shah clinched 1 A and 2 Bs. Both Ahmed Yehia and Asma Nasrullah earned 1 A and 2 Bs. And Aamna Shoaib was able to grasp 1 A, 1 B and 1 C.
Among the other toppers were, Farah Ayoub and Hala Fathy with 2 Bs and 1 C. Bilal Hussain with 1 B and 1 C followed by M. Omer Anwaar and S.M. Saad with 1 B and 2 Cs respectively.
Tanveer Arshad, the founder principal of Al Ain Juniors School, along with her teaching faculty shared these happy moments with all the students by applauding and appreciating their efforts profoundly. Parents were also congratulated for the brilliant results of their wards.
Islamia English School, Abu Dhabi, once again has proved its pedestal in academic excellence. A total of 52 candidates (27 girls and 25 boys) appeared in the exams in which the girls beat the boys.
The first position in the school was secured by Issam Ismail (96.4 per cent), Zahra Arshad came in the second position with 91.2 per cent, and the third went to Arif Mubeen Khawar with 90.94 per cent.
Issam Ismail was the highest A-grade taker of the school with A grade in four subjects.
Mohamed Zainul Abideen, Imirul Basher Rahman, Israr Ul Haq, Mohd Adnan, Saad Idrees, Owais Waheed Khan, Haider Javed, Naila and Sabaa Asif are other the high achievers of the school securing A grade in all the three subjects.
