Scheme to rehabilitate national inmates
DUBAI — Dubai General Directorate of Punitive and Reformatory Establishments in coordination with Ministry of Social Services is planning to launch a programme to rehabilitate national Inmates and make them capable of competing in the labour market.
At a meeting held yesterday at the office of Brigadier Mohammed Al Suwaidi, Director- General of Punitive and Reformatory General Directorate, the delegation of the Ministry of Social Affairs headed by Naji Al Hay, assistant under-secretary of development affairs, discussed the ways of cooperation to launch the rehabilitation programme for the national inmates. The programme will help them to join the country’s workforce after leaving the prison. The plan aims at ensuring job opportunities for them.
