Tech giant Samsung officially unveiled the Galaxy Note 9 at an event on Thursday. During the event, several features of the phone were discussed and announced. The new phone boasts a 4000mAh battery; 21 per cent larger than its predecessor, and 512GB internal memory expandable to 1TB.

On top of the Note 9 reveal, Samsung also unveiled a new smartwatch and a new version of their AI, Bixby. Below are live updates from the event (All times UAE).

Samsung CEO DJ Koh closed the event saying: "Express my heartfelt appreciation to all Samsung teams to help make this great new product possible.
Galaxy Note 9 will be available on August 24.
Everything you have seen here today is a step forward in a connected world.

Spotify CEO Daniel Ek demonstrates how music playback can be done seamlessly between the Note 9 and the Galaxy Home smart speaker.

Samsung launches its own smart speaker, the Galaxy Home with Bixby built in.

Bixby has become smarter. It remembers things and is more conversational. Bixby is designed to get to know you. If you like Italian food, and you asked for restaurant suggestions, it will look for Italian options first. It can make the booking for you too, based on previous entries. It becomes a personal friend. It's more useful.

Galaxy Watch is here. Gives freedom to break away and stay connected longer. Looks like a normal watch.
You can choose between two sizes, 60,000 watch faces and any strap you want.
It has an Amoled screen and is water resistent too.
Designed so you want to wear it all day.
Standalone LTE connectivity without phone.
Battery life to keep up with you. Several days usage on a single charge. Even charges at same time at Note 9 with wireless charger duo.
