At present, people with accounts at the Emirates Bank and the Dubai Islamic Bank can process their Salik account transactions with the RTA through those bank accounts.

Al Marzooki said the RTA would soon sign agreements with several entities to provide a new package of services, uplifting the quality of services provided to Salik subscribers.

“Subscribers are offered several options to top up their accounts, including credit cards, e-dirham or direct deduction from the bank accounts under the Dubai e- Government system.

“The number of subscribers to Salik Portal has exceeded 300,000 since the inception of the service in 2007. “Customers also have the option of using the traditional method of topping up their accounts by visiting a number of petrol stations of Eppco, Enoc, and Adnoc, or branches of Dubai Islamic Bank/Emirates International Bank,” said Al Marzooki.
