Sale, purchase of houses in capital halted

ABU DHABI — General Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces and Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Council presided over the council’s ordinary meeting, held here yesterday.

The council reviewed a memorandum submitted by the Department of Municipalities and Agriculture (Doma) on the selling and buying of houses in the emirate. It has decided to halt all such transactions until formulation of bylaws regulating the transactions.

The council also reviewed a memorandum submitted by the Doma on the development of Al Jazira Club’s Mohammed bin Zayed Stadium. It has approved awarding the project’s first phase to the lowest bidding contractor.
