Speaking at Zayed Centre for Coordination and Follow-up (ZCCF), Mr Min Byung-il said his country would only provide logistics help to the US forces in their military strike against Iraq, which he described as a catastrophe not only for the Arab region but for the whole world.

Mr Byung-il also said that he expects North Korea to be possibly the second US target after Iraq and did not rule out the idea that the America might tend to destroy North Korean nuclear facilities in arrangement with Russia and China.

He warned that such a move would pose a serious danger to his country. On the North Korea's nuclear programme, Mr Byung-il said he no reliable information about North Korea's nuclear capabilities, pointing out that North Koreans might well be able to produce nuclear weapons within few months.

The South Korean expert also maintained that both China and Russia are very much concerned about the North Korean nuclear capabilities and that his country would support any multilateral dialogue in an attempt to resolve the crisis between the US and North Korea.
