RTA traffic education campaign for schoolchildren in Dubai

DUBAI — The Public and Transport Agency (PTA) at the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has launched the Public Bus Riding and Traffic Culture awareness campaign for school children in Dubai.

The campaign programme items were delivered recently by facilitators of the Training Section at the Human Talent Department of the Public Transport Agency to students from Shaikh Rashid Al Maktoum Pakistani school of Dubai.

The programme covered a number of topics including transportation choices and environment, benefits of using public transport, learning to ride the bus, rules for riding, reading a bus schedule, bus safety and hazards involved while travelling, boarding and alighting.

The PTA operates 504 air-conditioned buses, designed to meet the highest quality controls, furnished with independent seats, provided with an electronic system to display trip destinations and tickets selling devices controlled by computers.
