RTA team visits Osaka to inspect progress on Dubai Metro trains

DUBAI — A team of officials from the Rail Agency of the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) visited Osaka, Japan to inspect the first two trainsets major subsystems of the Dubai Metro.

The overall manufacturing of the trains is on schedule and the first train expected to be delivered in Dubai by March 2008.

Prior to their departure for Japan, Eng. Ali AbdulQader Daryanavard, director of maintenance at the RTA Rail Agency, said: “The main objective of our visit to Osaka will be to inspect the traction control units, monitoring systems, car body and bogie fabrication.”
