RTA team in Germany for inspection of new buses

DUBAI — A delegation of the Public Transport Agency of the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) visited Germany for a final pre-delivery inspection of new buses.

The delegation visited Neoplan Factory to inspect the 401 standard, articulated, medium-sized and double-decker buses. The delegation comprised Essa Abdurrahman Al Dosari, CEO of Public Transport Agency and Abdullah Yousef Al Ali, Director of Public Buses Department at the Agency.

“Following this order, the number of public bus fleet will rise to 2,500 by 2009 ensuring coverage of 95 per cent of Dubai zones by public transport services as well as providing feeder service to Dubai Metro,” said Al Dossari.

Abdulla Yousef Al Ali, Director of the Public Buses Department of the Public Transport Agency confirmed that one double-decker bus will be delivered by mid-May and the remaining in June.
