Roads in Abu Dhabi will be closed for traffic on Friday as cyclists participating in the four day Abu Dhabi Tour 2016 will pedal on the main streets.  
The Abu Dhabi Tour 2016 will take place on October 21-23.
In the capital city, the cycle race will kick-off from Emirates Palace on Friday, due to which roads will closed for an hour between  1pm and 5.15pm.
Cyclists will travel down from there to Khalifa Al Mubarak Street before crossing over Shaikh Zayed Bridge and into Khalifa City, before making their way back through Yas Island.
Shaikh Khalifa Highway will be closed from 3.25pm to 4.25pm as cyclists would use it to travel towards Saadiyat Island.
Participants will then take a detour to Al Reem Island by 4pm before heading towards Abu Dhabi Corniche and will finally finish at Marina Mall by 5.15pm.
 On Saturday, the third stage of the rally will begin in the garden city Al Ain, where roads will be temporarily closed to vehicular traffic.
Cyclists will begin their journey in Al Mutawaa at 12.10pm before cycling to Al Hili, as they then make their make their way down to Al Jimi. They will then make their way along Shakhbout bin Sultan Street and onto the E30.
Cyclists will circle around Al Khaznah between 2.15pm and 4pm, before travelling down the E30, which will be closed for traffic until 4.30pm.
The roads are expected to re-open by 5.15pm as cyclists complete the tour with a hill climb at Jebel Hafeet tourist hotspot.
The last leg of the Abu Dhabi Tour 2016 will be take place on Sunday on the F1 Yas Marina circuit.
