In fact there is no separate subject such as 'life science' in the country, point out officials in the planning and human resource development department in the MoE and ask as to how in such circumstances, an official source could speak about lack of staff in the life science field. The truth is that the Ministry had decided during earlier meetings to assign teaching of life science to teachers from different fields. For instance, the officials decided to assign computer teachers to teach the subject of life science to grades 6 to 9. And for fourth and fifth grades in female and mixed schools, officials assigned the teachers of Family education to handle the subject of life science.

The Dubai educational zone pruned down the figure of redundant teachers last year to eight and trained them to be supervisors. The ministry also previously assigned the teaching of life sciences subject for fourth and fifth grade boys to teachers of other subjects whose quota of classes was not complete to fulfill the minimum mandatory requirement.
